Default Clan Recruitment Rule (Read Before Posting)

In order to prevent any excessive bumping of recruitment threads, we’ve decided to impose a rule for all sections in the Clan Recruitment forum. This is by no means a new rule, and is already part of the forum rules, we're just making it a little clearer and more specific, especially towards the Clan Recruitment forum.

From this point on, if there is a post regarding the recruitment of your clan that was posted within the last 3-days, you must not ‘bump’ your thread by posting another recruitment message for your clan. Such as, “we are still recruiting” or any other message referring to recruitment.

Of course however, you may respond to requests from people that want to join your clan. This same rule applies for people who have threads looking for a clan. The whole point of this rule is to stop clans from constantly posting a recruiting message every day to remain at the top of the section they’re recruiting in, making it an unfair advantage over the clans/clan-leaders who abide by the forum rules. The same rule applies for duplicate threads for the same clan.

So just to sum it up and make sure it's as clear as possible, you may only post new recruitment messages in your clan once every 3-days. This includes any other clan attempting to bump another clan's thread.

Any posts that break this rule from today will be deleted, at the moderators/administrators discretion. Any repetitive offenders will receive an infraction.

Thank you for your co-operation,

On behalf of the cod4boards crew,
Silent-Sniper.

Default

I've decided to add to this Clan Recruitment rule as I've noticed a flood of posts trying to recruit people that haven't been logged in for months, or haven't been back since the day they made their 'Looking For a Clan' thread. This is also happening with people trying to join a clan and wondering why they get no response.

New Rule: You MUST check the user's profile for the 'Last Activity' date before posting your Clan Recruitment message. Same goes if you're looking to join a clan.

To do this, either click their username while you are in the thread and click 'View Public Profile', or click the name below their thread title in the recruitment section you are in. The 'Last Activity' date will be displayed on the top right hand side of their profile.

You may only post if the member has been active over the last 3-weeks.

This rule is in addition to the Clan Recruitment rule which is posted above and will be enforced from today's date.

If you have any queries or comments, please contact me via PM.

Silent-Sniper.

EDIT: In addition to this latest rule, you also may not post in a Clan Recruitment or a 'Looking For a Clan' thread if the thread is over a month and a half old (6-weeks) and has had no replies from the original poster over that period.
