I have just updated with 1.7.
Is there a nocd crack available for this version?
I have problems with my dvd drive so only rarely can I get the game to recognise my cd
Alternatively is there any way to uninstall this patch?

I didn't even know there was a 1.7 patch lol... Been too busy playing MW2

As for the NoCD, we don't normally allow discussion of that sort here. Anyone that posts a link to some wares site will be issued with a warning/infraction as deemed suitable.

However I won't delete the post, as you bring up a known problem with certain hardware configurations... A lot of SCSI/SATA drives have this problem.

You can try searching for a firmware update for your DVD drive.

If you're using SATA drives, make sure the DVD is in the very first SATA port on your motherboard.

If all that fails, a friend of mine was using the 1.5 exe on version 1.6, until they released one for specifically for 1.6... Maybe the 1.6 crack can be used in 1.7 in the meantime?

Yes i use xfire & it updated from 1.6 to 1.7 was only a small update this time.
I don't have mw2, yet. If i did, maybe i would be using it instead.
My problem is with my motherboard. when it resumes from standby the ide drives (my cd/dvd drives) disapear.
Will try what you mentioned about the 1.6 exe.
Any ideas how i might uninstall the 1.7 patch if that fails?

Only way to uninstall the 1.7 patch will be to uninstall the game... Make sure you backup your profile folder first...
