Infact quite alot of it appeals to me. Im real interested in militairy history and technology, Just dont like the fighting bit LOL.

i joined when i was 18

i took the asvab, scored extremely well.... hey offered me 3 jobs, neither of them i wanted. so i thought i was stuck. took a job as a mechanic on hmmvees. if only i woulve know then what i know now. i only got a $3k bonus.

now a days they are giving $20k, you pick whatever job you want, and if they dont give it to you, say oh well im not too interested then, they WILL get you that job...plus now you can get gauranteed not to get deployed for 4 years, or until you finish college. which you can sign up for 2,4, or 6 year contracts, and probably not go overseas if you dont want to.

after i was a mechanic for a couple years (hated it) i became a military police officer, then now i am cav scout. (basically and infantryman with a college degree)

i am full time and work at a counterdrug unit for homeland defense right now

i dont have to go overseas, i could sit here and have a free ride, because i am the only son of an only son, so you can opt out of going, for the fear of you last name being gone forever, but i actually volunteered to go this december as a cav scout

Not for the faint hearted but i would not have it any other way.get to see and do thing you could only dream of,lol
