The Beta -- When?

There has been a recent flurry of discussion among Call of Duty 4 fans because of slip ups and news about the beta:

1) Microsoft "accidentally" put up an entry for the Call of Duty 4 Beta in their news ticket
"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Beta (Free) - 8/17 This beta is a just a taste of the full Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare mulitplayer experience and features just a few early versions of the maps and modes in the game."

2) More Beta screenshots and footage have been coming up
3) Community Relations Manager, fourtwozero, has been seen on xbox live playing the CoD4 Beta.

My take on this: The Beta is done and finished.. its just a matter of time until users begin to receive their Beta codes.

I expect the Beta to be released by next week (speculation based on recent news on my part)

There is a lot of speculation that a countdown will appear today, Monday August 20th, and that the Beta will be released Tuesday-Friday.

i doubt it will be today, it would have showed up in the morning already
