Win Prizes, Just for Posting!

We've decided to give our users something back for contributing to our community:

Every time you get past a stage on our forums you are able to claim a prize. What's a stage? Its basically like a prestige level in Call of Duty 4.. in each level you have to advance through 55 other "sub-levels" (just like Call of Duty 4.. what a coincidence!) You advance in sub-levels for every 10 posts you make. Since there are 55 sub-levels and 10 posts for each sub-level it can be said that you win a prize for every 550 posts you make on our forums. Sounds like alot but you were probably going to make those posts anyways, right? Might as well get something in return

Prize Info:
Each time you progress in a stage/"prestige level" you get a better prize.

Example: You get past the initial 550 posts (lets call it prestige 0) and you win a small accessory. Once you get past "prestige 1" you'll get a bit bigger prize than before. Once you reach the higher stages of prestige you'll be winning prizes like keyboards, games, controllers, sounds cards, mice, and video cards (maybe :P)

Rules:

We can suspend this system at any time for any reason.
We can reject any poster/member from winning a prize on our forum at any time, with or without reason.
Spamming our forums with one-three word posts is NOT considered "posting" and therefore you will not qualify for prizes. Continued spamming will result in disqualification.
Ground shipment of prizes within the US will be given, if you wish for your prize to arrive sooner or out of the US you (the member) will be responsible for shipping costs thereon after.
Prizes must be claimed with 7 (seven) days of you (the member) gaining egibility to claim a prize.
If you decide to not claim the prizes and leave the contest; we are not responsible for the time, posts, or topics you made on this forum. Your posts/topics and time will remain on the boards unless we (COD4Boards.com) feels otherwise.
A maximum of one (1) prize can be claimed every thirty (30) days.
In order to be eligible for a prize you must receive no more than 3 infractions.
More rules and regulations may be added at a later date. You (the member) are responsible for keeping up to date on said rules and regulations.

Once you reach a new prestige your can claim your prize by sending me a private message on these forums and include your name, address, and preferred platform. (PC, PS3, or Xbox 360)

AC Dice Mann, if you dont think I should be eligable for a prize, thats debatable, I know its quality not quantity but I still met the requirements right? Well I spoke to Daniel and we agreed that we wait until I hit 3rd prestige, then money saved on 1st and 2nd prizes can goto the shipping fees

Well when you reach 550 you will get a prize I am sure. Also, bear in mind studying should come first before luxuries.

I don't think anybody that is representing the site should be eligible. I think a lot of people on this site post nonstop just to get prizes, that is not what this site is about. We're here to talk about Call of Duty, that should be a prize in itself.

I'm not the one making the rules or giving away prizes, but if it was up to me - I would only count 1 post in each thread, you cannot count reply's to your own thread, this is only fair. How many post have you seen with 2 words in it? Should that count as a post? I think not, I think only well thought out posts and post that bring something to the table should count - I'm all about quality as opposed to quantity. Anyone can post 1,000 times in a month, just bring something to the table when you do say something...
(this rant is not aimed at anyone specific, I am just tired of getting emails asking me "where is my prize?, I posted 500 times last week"?)

No, I totally agree with the posting side of things, some of my posts aren't very informative, but I don't think I personally am a spammer. I discuss CoD happenings and help members out. I like to have a bit of fun here and there but thats just my personality.

Nevertheless, I think that even though I am representing the site as a Moderator, I should still receive a prize somewhere along the line, I am not moaning about it, and I spoke to Daniel personally about it, we decided I skip 1 and 2 and money saved goes to shipping for 3rd. I agree thats fair. Just because we as mods rep the site doesnt mean we should miss out on prizes like this.

I am willing to donate regularly each month, and recieving a prize would only motivate me to do more for the boards.

As I said, I was not referring to BlackHawk, I get numerous emails asking why they didn't receive prizes. I just tell them to see rule number 1 on the list.

As far as representing a company/workplace/website I still feel employees, mods, representitives should not be accepting prizes - I would reserve that privilege for regular members of the community. I work in a casino and I am not eligible to claim prizes, the prizes are an incentive for people to come and check out your product and contribute to it. If your already a mod or staff, your already on site, you should be exempt from claiming prizes, that is only fair....
