Made mod scripts able to change stats

Allow developer_script for mulitiplayer modding

Fixed map rotation errors with usermaps

Fix for reloading several times after connecting to a modded server

Fixed minimap not showing up in the menu for usermaps

Fixed an issue with Http redirect downloads.

Mod tools will now work with other languages


NOTE: patch 1.5 is not compatible with 1.4. You will not be able to find 1.4 servers if you update.

NOTE: Please ensure you have previously downloaded 1.4 patch before downloading 1.5 as you will need the 'Winter Crash' map from 1.4.


OLD PLACEHOLDER:
This is a placeholder for patch 1.5 for Call of Duty 4, once its released this page will be updated along with a download link to the patch. It will/should fix any bugs that have arisen from Patch 1.4 and other previous patches.

  • High Pings Showing Up In Browser
    Servers not showing up
    Server Connection Timeout
    Small amount of servers showing up

Punkbuster freezing clients
Other misc. bug fixes.

Ability to disable antilag on servers
COD4 SDK/Mod tools
New Maps
Weapon Firing Mode Selection (Burst, Auto, etc.)

Martyrdom - nerf it. Options - make it perk one (i.e. you can't have it and lots of nades), or perhaps make it require a nade to work (i.e. if you use all your nades then no martyrdom).

A Barrett .50 sniper rifle to the tail rotor tower on a helo should force the helo to become unstable in flight and reduce it's ability to hover and shoot, for example.

7. Increase the time between airstrikes so that chain airstrikes are no longer possible. I have been on maps where there were planes in the air or on the radar virtually non-stop for almost an entire 2000 round map.

8. Airstrikes called while an enemy helo is in the air should sacrifice one bomb drop with an AA missile shot that destroys the helo.

9. Ability to add a server to favorites while playing on that server.

10. History list of servers played on as a server filter. Lists last x number of servers played.

11. Size of iron sights reduced so that it doesn't take up 50-60% of the screen. I shoot a rifle regularly and can very easily see around the rifle while shooting. In-game iron sights makes it seem like you're shooting while looking over a phone book and through a roll of paper towels.

12. Adjust performance of P90 to more accurately model the capabilities of the weapon. P90 sniping is just a bit out of character.

13. Unless it's just some sound setting I have wrong, increase the sound of weapons being fired in your vicinity. Very regularly, I will be killed by a player who was shooting at me full auto with an un-silenced weapon to a flank or from the rear (as shown by the kill cam) and I never hear them. If I'm looking north, and someone standing 15 feet from me on my right side is shooting an AK47 or RPD at me, I'm pretty sure I'll hear it.

14. Claymores need to survive after death for a lot longer, or until I place more devices.

It's hardcore mode! I shouldn't know when I've hit someone through the wall - it's kinda cheap.

It's really annoying to get sniped across the map by a freaking Skorpion or Uzi. C'mon, decrease the bullet damage with range or make the recoil a lot worse. As for the LMGs, with the right sight they turn into sniper rifles with a very large capacity. Some guy shouldn't be able to walk across a map, popping off 1-2 round bursts into people's heads.

#4: Increase the range of the shotguns about 10 feet.
Right now the range is so laughably short that shotguns are useless in 99% of firefights. Give them a little extra range and they'd actually be usable.

#5: FIX THE FREAKING SERVER BROWSER.
Really guys, it shouldn't be too hard to make a server browser that works and is easy to use. Copy Valve's server browser - it's really flexible and works great. This one is so obvious I listed it twice.

#6: Get rid of the "Kill" arrow on Sabotage.
I know it's there to clue people in and prevent camping, but it also makes playing sabotage next to impossible. How about lighting it up if the bomb isn't planted in a certain amount of time... say 1-2 minutes? Seriously, it's not like the bomb sites are going anywhere, so I'm pretty sure people will be able to defend without making the bomb carrier such a sitting duck.

-As has been said make the accuracy of weapons more realistic.
-For Hardcore I suggest you remove the hit marker but instead of just leaving it out why not ad blood splatter and maybe even a trail to make it more realistic and encourage people to track targets.
-For normal mode either give targeting reticles to rifles or take them off all guns because there is no reason for there to be difference. Neither gives the shooter magical cross hairs so why make the distinction now. If you do give rifles the cross hairs though make the firing speed realistic so people can't strafe across the map blowing up heads.
Finally
-PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DUMP PB. Its the most useless of all anti cheating systems and only causes issues.
Gonna play more COD. Will add more suggestions if I see some.

I would like to see Capture The Flag released (so it plays as Ranked) and a nice open map like OverGrown/Countdown, too many City Maps :cry:

Mod Tools are needed to get some new maps out...

Maybe thats just me - because i used to play UO/COD2 with a Bolt Action Rifle :twisted:

Oh Well, just be greatful we arent Playing Medal Of Honour or EA produced COD4 :o :lol:

I signed up just so I could add some of my thoughts. I really hope at least some of these could be added into the next patch because they would greately improve this game. So in no particular order:
-add a friend feature (pretty obvious)
-allow people to add a server they are playing on to their favorites(already been stated but it's an important one)
-fix the delay with showing the name tag on friendly players. I hate playing on FF servers and accidentally shooting a team mate because the tag didn't show up. I can understand it with snipers because they are supposed to be stealthy and in guile suits but other classes are annoying because excluding the US marines all other armies look the same.
-fix the damage with air strikes. I hate it when I get hit by an air strike and instantly die but a team mate 5 feet away will be left unscathed. Add some kind of splash damage because this is absurd and totally unrealistic.
-Like it has been said increase the number of kills necessary to get perks. I hate it when people can get air strike, blow up half your team, and then call in a helo to spawn kill you.
