Why Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.8 Ain't Coming



It's seems Call of Duty 4 has finally been put on the back burner at Infinity Ward. We shouldn't expect Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.8 anytime soon unless a massive bug or exploit emerges. Sure we would love if the server browser sucked ass a little less, but it's not that bad. As for the highly requested Call of Duty TV (CODTV) it probably isn't coming anytime soon either.We have nothing to really complain about though, Infinity Ward has been generous in patches so far and I think most fans would agree it's time to go full force on the next Call of Duty.

Possibly...non-retarded spawn points would be nice. I always enjoy spawning and then dying before I get a chance to move. A ping filter in the server list (under 50, 75, 100 etc). Dual-Core support like in Quake 4 and other various games, it helps. Prestige mode, cousin has the 360 version, would be nice to see it come to the pc version as well.

more weapons and silenced snipers

Change the short connect to server time of 10 seconds on the pc version to something more realistic like 20-40 seconds. I know this is easily fixed manually, but it would be nice if they would do us a favour and patch it so we no longer need to re-edit it after every re-install.

I would like to see the optoin to create a class while game in progress.

Yes, points for shooting down the helo. I do it all the time, for what?

More for your killing streaks

Some sort of kill cam that looks at you from a different angle.. other than though your eyes. Possible slo-mo replay as well.

A better document for people that want to run servers. I have a very difficult time trying to locate information on how some of the tricks I see out here are done. It seems like the developers just ASSuME that I know enough about previous games COD etc that setting up a server is easy.. I NEVER played COD, I started at COD4 and am a little lost at times when I try to set up a server from the command line.
