Call of Duty 5 has just been announced for all platforms, including the DS and the Wii:

So, the next Call of Duty, I heard, is not actually COD 5. The arrangement that was made is that Infinity Ward will handle all the numbered series COD games and TreyArch will do the "one - off's."

Meaning that the next Call of Duty released is actually not Call of Duty 5. That will be released by Infinity Ward next year. This is TreyArch's year, thus we get COD: World at War.

Heard this in a PODCAST from GameSpot. Take it for what it's worth.

I kind of like the WWII games for COD personally. I do like the weapon selection of this COD4 and am addicted to the online play. What other games did Treyarch do? Any good ones?
One other question - If this next COD is not COD5, then when might COD5 be coming out?

What is this COD5 - Future Warfare? I saw a picture of an x-box game with that cover next to the new COD coming out in November. I wonder what kind of weapons you will get in that game?
