Wow, the TreyArch haters still amaze me. I believe, without a doubt, that COD4 is awesome. No matter which game system you play it on (I have both I like it so much!!).
But check this article out.
There are several comments in the above article which are worth paying close attention to and which may sway some of the haters:
1. It states that COD5 will be using the same graphics engine as IW used for COD4. Which should mean game play and visual aesthetics should be on par with COD4.
2. Unlike COD3 which was built in 11 months, TreyArch will have had 2 years to compose COD5 before it's release. This should be a very positive thing. If TreyArch can create COD3 in 11 months, imagine what they can do in double the time?
3. This episode in the saga is "darkest CoD yet," according to TreyArch. I have heard that the new flamethrower weapon is going to be showing some grizzly details when you toast someone. So if you are into that kind of thing, they say this version is going to be a lot more graphic.
Only time will tell, but according to early reports, it sounds like TreyArch is finding it's own path. I personally dont want a remake of COD4 because I already own it. I want to spend my money on a new COD, not just a change in episode numbers.
Just my $02, your mileage may vary.
