I have seen alot offtopic back-and-forth conversations in threads, and frankly, I don't like it. It's good that users are interacting with each other, but having offtopic conversations in other people's threads only degrades the value of this site as a resource to the community.

If you're dying to say something that isn't related to the thread's topic (if it's not even related to Call of Duty 4, we even have an offtopic section to satisfy your needs!), either private message the user via these boards, or just start a new thread in it's respective section on these forums. If your comment is slightly offtopic but is still somehow related to the thread (and does not justify a whole new thread) just say it, but make sure that you get back on topic after stating it.

Moderators will be cleaning up any new offtopic conversation and will be giving a warning to the violator(s), and an infraction, depending on how that moderator feels about the specific situation. If it is done repetitively you will be disqualified from the win-prizes-for-posting contest.

We're not trying to restrict people and how they post, we just want users to post their content in the right section. We have a wide variety of forum sections for users to discuss topics in, we'd like you to use them to help keep the community clutter free and organized.

I would like to keep the Off topic lounge name kept the same - if you are talking about something that is off topic - put it in the OffTopic lounge, that is easy. We have a Community thread already, its called General Discussion. PS3, PC and Xbox users can post there.

People just need to post under the correct heading, its not hard. Lets try to keep on topic while on the thread also.
