My favorite guitarist is probably David Gilmour from Pink Floyd..absolutely amazing. Laurence Juber played with Paul Mcartney's band Wings back when they were together. Now he's a fingerstyle solo guitarist plays mostly acoustic. Wonderful guitarist. Also: Jason Hale - Chiodos, Chris Storey - All Shall Perish, Alexi Laiho - Children of Bodom.

I'm going to toss Mark Knopfler's name in the ring. He's rarely mentioned and his style is kind of cool and unique.
