Please note that CoD4 Mod Tools requires your video drivers and DirectX to be up to date. For certain applications to work correctly a DX9 video card is required, even though the game itself will run on a DX8 video card. Please contact your hardware manufacturer to find the latest drivers for your system.

The CoD4 Mod Tools do not work in Windows Vista, although some users have reported some success running them in Windows XP Compatibility Mode.

CoD4 Mod Tools require that your Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare installation has been updated to version 1.4. Patches are available at Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Patch Information

Currently, Cod4 Mod tools are only supported for the English version of the game. Other languages will be supported soon.

The CoD4 Mod Tools require a DirectX 9 Shader Model 3.0 compliant card and the .NET Framework Version 2.0 or higher, available from Windows Update or http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

We've been having a Mod Tools beta over the last month (delayed by Holidays) with a few members of the PC community which were helping us test and optimize the tools based on their feedback. This past week we sent out the first release candidate to the small group of community testers which we hope will be the final version. I downloaded 4 yesterday and put them on our Clan server, i played one called skycorpse, OMG is this awful map :o

But trying to load the other customs ones seem to crash the server/make it hang. A fellow clan member said other servers seem to have had the same issues... :?

Edit: Dont try and run custom maps under Mod:modwarfare as it doesnt seem to like them, use another mod like AWE4 and they should run fine, even though most are terrible at present, a few show promise.

win un packing the sdk any 1 ? dos it take like 2.5 hours to unpack
vista / winzip / 2.4 dule core

i stoped it win i reed vista is non compatibel ... tyerd of scruwing with stuf to get it to work like frontlines LAME ... sorry im buzzed and cant spell

I haven't downloaded/unzipped the files but it shouldn't take that long. I heard it will still work on Vista.. you just have to change something
