Your thoughts on Dell?

I'm getting an xps pc soon from dell and its supposed to be really good with gaming with win Vista. :P direct X 10 aswel. does cod4 do dx10?

Dell has really stepped their game up
From not so good to GREAT
I know a bunch of server companies whos machines are dells. Their good PC's
Support DOEs suck with them, takes forever to get on tha phone nd crap
So its better to take ur dell to a local Comp Engineer

Thats what my computer is and im loving it! Except for the fact its Vista. I wish Vista could get better faster.

i got a dell. its ok. id probably like it more if 1/4th of my screen wasnt burned out. but i guess thats on my part. but any ways. thumbs up 4 dell

Build your own is the best way to go...You can go on newegg and build a C2D 3GHZ with 2GB of mem and a 8800GT for under 800 after case, PS and everything without breaking a sweat...Good luck trying to get a comp that good without spending 2k anywhere else. Custom is where it's at. Its way cheaper and u get a lot more bang for your buck

dell has good customer service, and better corporate service. From a gamer's perspective, its not about service, its about price and performance. You don't want to be paying extra for labor and design. You want to be paying exactly for what you want, not more. So by custom building your computer to fit your needs, you get better value and performance.

You cant find the disks for dell almost anywhere on download and they work flawlessly. I have the xp home and professional and also Vista Ultimate for my dell from torrent websites.

I personally do not like Dell computers that much. Plus I think that what they offer in their computers are out of date such as graphic cards, processors, motherboards and so on. They are also a lot more expensive compared to other companies such as Gateway and HP. I own a Gateway and love it. It's hooked up to my bigscreen and I'm actually using it right now. The computers fast and affordable. Works for me.
