Definitely ATI, couldn't be happier with it. My one isn't the best out there but because I don't use my PC for gaming, it suits perfectly.

However the ATI 4 series fill the gap left by nvidia for price they are a great card at a fair price the next few months will tell which direction to go ATI or Nvidia

Update i found a GTX 280 at the right price however i had to upgrade my PSU to run it from a ez tornado 800 watt to a hiper HPU_4M880_PE 880 watt the EZ would run it until i had been playing COD4 for about 10 minutes then the pc would crash since upgrading no further issues.
The GTX 280 makes the game we play look like your watching a movie and the whole system runs like a dream.

so if your thinking about upgrading to the GTX make sure your PSU is up to the job

nVidia. Because it rox. It can be overclocked anytime. And if you have a liqued cooling system like me then the temp is really low. And all the games run smoothly @ 100-200 FPS
