i have a nvidia game card in my computer and it has not crashed once, and get this its a laptop

If you're looking for crisper graphics, go with ATI. However, you will get a drop in FPS. Nvidia is the way to go if you want speed. Although, it doesnt give you the celerity you would get from an ATI graphics card. Overall you should choose to go with Nvidia.

all the game mostly are for nvidia
i have a ati now but my next computer is nvidia
ati is makes the anouncements in grafics but wen nvidia does a grafics card it does realy bad (in a good way ^^)

I vote for Nividia and I had a Nividia Geforce 8000 series and it burned out really quick. I still vote for it but...

both are great, nvidia i would say is a card you would find in 75%+ gaming comps.

^^ That Crap Actually Works, I got two 1600 MS Point Cards and a 3 month XBL Card. Once your done with the offers (FREE OFFERS) theres a list of stuff to choose from, pick it and if its a point card or a Live card. they send you the code by Email!

I have an 8800GTS 512MB on my 2yr old gaming comp and it rapes anything.
only problem is my opinion is biased as I never tried an ATI card.

Not being computer smart, I like the easy to use, (as Phlax said) user friendly nvidia cards. I've had an ATI and I couldn't figure out anything on it.

ATI, no particular reason I guess I just prefer their hardware to NVIDIA. I think ATI builds cards of the same or of higher quality than NVIDIA but I don't really have any major problems with NVIDIA cards anyways so I guess you can go either way.

this topic is old, but at the time in which i am writing my current response, ATI is destorying Nvidia, the ATI 4 series totally owns the GTX200 series by offering outstanding performance for a great price, whereas Nvidia gives you less performance for more than DOUBLE the price, Nvidia is currently doing bad that they had to lower the price of their flagship card the GTX280 down from its original resale price of 700+ USD to under 500, how pathetic
