Hi all.
I've bee browsing a few guides today and I've noticed that they say the g36c and the m4 carbine both do the same damage (30-20) Where as on the cod4 game it says the g36c is stronger than the m4... which is right? Why would someone use the g36c over the m4 carbine if they both do the same damage? Damage is the only thing the g36c has over the m4.

Same with the ak74 u and the mp5, A guid says they both do 40-20 damage but on the game it says the ak74 is stronger, why would someone use the ak74u over the mp5?

Which is correct?

i've never read into all the stats so i'm not up to date with it all. i just use weapons from personal preference. it also comes down to the map and gamemode that you're playing.

I'm not up on the charted damages, but the recoil on all of those guns has a slightly different feel, and people have different preferences based on the iron sights.

There is no one universally best gun. Sorry I don't have more statistical data to offer, but I'm sure someone will answer.

Chart damages are wrong, or at best they're extremely vague about what goes into them. The G36c does the same damage, but it shoots slower and has more recoil. If anything it would be weaker! I have no idea what they tried to accomplish there.

As I PM'ed you yesterday, I'd go by what this guide says:

He goes by what the actual COD4 file info says (the true stats inside the PC version). You can't really trust the main stats page on COD4.

As stated by him:
The guide suggests that they both have the same damage.
