Knives + 2

So my bomb squad idea was well recieved,

granted this is less of an actually useful idea and more of an asthetic

but was thinking last night we have colors for kills from all weapon aspects
except knives?
Would be cool to be able to get a digital or red tiger knife, or even upgrade your knife to be hunting style knife, maybe a screwdriver type rapier, or a sickle type.

Also imagine this, a challenge for a Gold knife, surely thats just pure gold.

Also want to reaffirm that i would love their to be Throwing knives, goldeneye, XIII had em, throwing knives are awesome think it would be a really excellent addition, you could maybe choose them as an extra thing

Like where you choose your weapon perk and side arm
you could also choose your CQC weapon,

thoughts?

Some sort of camo idea would be cool. If only because it'd be one more thing to work for (I'm all about the longevity). I think throwing knives would be terrible. If I wanted to play a game where people were throwing knives around it wouldn't be this one. I have a fair few friends in the services and I don't think that any of them have ever thrown a knife at someone in a combat situation (nor I'd hope any other time).

if there was a hunting style knife then i think you should show up on the radar when you use it. it wouldn't be as stealthy but oh well. throwing knifes would be cool aswell although it seems as though people throw knifes at me now... harpoon knifes lol.

you could have different animations for different knives too, so maybe the thin rapier could be an overarm stab,

the hunting could just be a straight forward stab through the chest,

pretty brutal for sure but it is CQC after all
I think any extra customisation would enchance the game plenty,

I think its a shame there probably wont be any further expansion of cod4 online, to be honest it seems a missed opportunity to me, they could make some decent revenue and would make the game loads more fun,

hell if they added a couple more weps or maps id bloody buy it for w/e

I don't think camo would go to well with knives, after all you only see it for a split second when you stab someone so it's not like you need to hide it.

I reckon they should let you change to a knife, like as a primary weapon which is always active. That analogue button pisses me off sometimes.

I agree with silent sniper. In counterstrike, the knife should be a third weapon that can't be swapped and the analogue should be just the melee button with the but of your weapon or your fist.

Try switching your melee button to the middle mouse. I got everyone I play with hooked on my config. As far as the topic goes, YES! I always wished one of the perks would be to have a machette/sword with farther reach. Another cool perk would be to have quicker knifing skills so you didn't have the delay after every attack. I can't tell you how many more kills I would have with no delay.

Unfortunately on PS3 you can only have your knife as the analogue button or the O button (miles away from the analogue button). By making the knife the O button, your crouch button becomes the analogue button which reminds me too much of Battlefield.

Would be good on a computer though with the middle mouse button.
