Heya people

After been playing WoW for a couple of years i decided to try something else so my love has fallen to CoD4. I bought the game played the single player and decided to try the multiplayer part of it...which is awesome compared to the other games i have tried over the years ( since 96 or so :D ).

I have a few simple questions...

What does it mean when a server is ranked...is it some sort or special thing or? i have no clue about it so please give a deep explanation :)

Is there any sites that is like the most used site (besides this one) for looking for nice people to play with :)

What the best way to "advance" and someday join a proper clan?

When you play in a ranked server you will be able to increase your level based (just like WoW), when you play in an unranked server anything you get in that server won't count

As for clans just try picking an active server you like an play there alot.. chances are that the clan will ask you to join or you can ask them if they're recruiting

Hmm guess i have only played ranked servers then cause i keep "level'ing" :D somehow scared how fast you level

In the console versions there are 550 levels (via prestige mode), but prestige mode wasnt put on the PC sadly

You should try going to other Forums that play CoD4. Those are usually the best place to start. I just joined this forum and I come from cod4forums as well as GameTrailers Forums.

Welcome, I too used to play WoW. But i got tired of it once I hit 70. Also, I agree. PC got jipped on that one.

Look on the Clan Recruiting section.

Best find a nice friendly server without much swearing and the like, and just keep going back, i have done this twice and got recruited.

I have helped out someone on this forum with some COD4 problems and asked him to play on my Clan Server and he kept coming back and now him & 2 of his mates are members :D
