Alright, I need to know if I'm the only one this is happening to. Often (more often than not, in fact) when I die, the killcam replay does not correspond to what appeared to happen from my end. One frequent example is when I shoot whoever shot me before I die, and yet the killcam indicates that I did not in fact get a shot off. This happens a LOT. This is not lag, I know what lag looks like. Often when an enemy comes around a corner and shoots me, the killcam shows a greater amount of time between him turning the corner and when he fires than actually happened. It seems as though I am playing the game half a second behind everyone else. I must reiterate that this is not lag. I would say that it is an example of typical host advantage, except that it is never just one player, it is anyone I am fighting. What the hell is going on?
On a related note, why is it that people seem to be able to knife me when they aren't even facing me?

I too have a lot of killcam issues whilst on a full connection. And so does my friend.
We have put it down to different views, such as when a player can see over a wall; but for everyone else he is completely hidden by it. Though we can never find a way to explain the 'shots that wenrt to be'...
i get this, im on computer
with 2 different connections the game doesnt realize that you have died, until after you get that shot off, this means that there is a slight lag between computer signals (not saying its you)
sometimes i shoot 2 shots, but on kill cam it shows 1, i died before i got my shot off.
I always eventually put it down to lag, but I have also had it occur in private matches with friends who I know that I have no lag with. It is a strange phenomenon unique to COD 4 as far as I can remember for any other xbox 360 game...
I have to say that this happens all the time. I quick scope someone just before they shoot me and it doesnt hurt them even if it is quite clearly on them. Then in the killcam i dont even shoot, its quite annoying

I can say i never get this issue, some times it seems that they have got you before you got them when indeed you were first to fire but I think it's just accuracy. Perhaps you should play more often and get better?
Please don't assume people are just missing. If they claim they know they got a hit then they are probably close and so know it can't be due to missed shots.
You don't notice it over a long distance because you assume you missed, when it happens to me and I notice it is near point blank range. And I'm good enough that I know there is no way I missed my target.

I'll take your word for it, I do have to admit I find the worst is probably the knife, when your one on one and for some reason you miss when your infact the first to slice, dice and julienne.
what annoys me is that people seem to knife you frtom about 4 metres away, and of course all that the op said at the start, it seems that from therir view the enemy see me well before i saw them and i actually shhoot them but in the replay i do not get a shot off.
it must also happen to people i kill so i just let it slide and dont worry about it.
