It's probably lag. When people lunge with knives from so and so far away, they're probably a lot closer, and you're just lagging so you're shot didn't go off.

If I can see my enemy, and he kills me first, then there is no reason why I should use the kill-cam. Only for those sneaky snipers is when I'll use a kill cam to see what he was using =P

95% of the people who play call of duty 4 use martyrdom. If you're one of the 5% of people who doesn't need to die to get a kill, put this in your signature.

Once again I put it down to lag, but from private matches with 1v1 there will often be both me and my friend complaining. Even though we both have a full connection.

I have the same problem with the kill cam. I noticed it in COD2 as well. I wonder if its something like 0 ping evening out the pings between players. So in effect even though you know you fired first or at least got a few shots off, because of 0 ping the computer says "oh no you didn't!"

i hate it when you run through a door and your clearly through but yet i'm still killed. this is when the enemy is to the side of me and no it's not them shooting through the wall. if i was you i'd ignore killcam as it always lies.

On XBox 360 and I get this "lag" more than 50% of the time. I can unload up to 6 rounds into someone's head, they have time to turn and kill me. The kill cam shows I didn't even get a shot off. (slight exaggeration but not by much)

It really blows.

I have noticed when I play in the middle of the night Eastern US 1 - 4am that it hardly ever happens. Maybe it's a network congestion lag or something thing not based with your ping.
