I find downpour to be an excellent map as well. It may be a little unbalanced but people tend to get pre-conceived notions of a map when things don't go their way. I hate bog and vote to skip every time because, for some reason i can't see the enemy. People hate maps because a) they aren't good at at b) don't like darkness c) starting points of a particular map are not fair, ie. creek.
There is always a population out there that does not like the map and thier is a population that likes the map.

Downpour for a Ground War is just total carnage, and I love it. Just sprint right into the enemy with an RPD or SAW and absolutely ride them into the ground, get a chopper or airstrike and you're gonna roll in the blood. Excellent map!
not one of my favs.... but you seem to play so much you get used to it. I had troubles with getting the map down...like others said its not the map it was me. Now im pretty good at it, still not a favorite but ill play.
