How is hardcore any different than regular playlists? I know the damage is significantly higher, but how often do you accidently betray your teammates? Or is there a built in function that prevents friendly fire (although it's still turned on)?

Hardcore is different in a few main ways.

Teams are limited to 6 each.
Damage is realistic (almost one shot kill)
There is no HUD. I.e ammo counter, radar screen, crosshair
Teamkills are fully on.

I only play this mode because my brain cant forgive hitting a guy flat in the chest with an M60 and him turning round and shooting you with an MP5.

I like my realism in FPS games. Cant hack playing it like Quake 2.

Also, in regular mode realistic tatics dont feature as much, in Hardcore tactics ussually make, or break a game.

The headset is more useful in hardcore, your team has to communicate rather than just running at red dots.

Just my opinions.

So if you're not careful then you can accidently mistaken a friendly for an enemy? It must be annoying to find a guy in Ghille since you can't tell either of them apart in a match.

And hence why i said communication is important. Everyone has to....... sorrry, should be letting their team know where they are, or whats going on.

I dont mind being teamkilled, it doesnt happen to often to me.

Unless its martyrdom. I fukking hate when people in your own team use martyrdom.

In hardcore, does it not have the Green name above friendly players? I've never played hardcore yet...

I imagine if it's based on "real-life", then there wouldn't be...

I would assume that they would have friendly colors. I played hardcore tam slayer once before and I did not like the way you were to play it. Sitting and waiting is not fun to me, I like to run and gun and follow my radar.
