The young marine rounded the corner and surveyed the area through his M237 Tactical Goggles. Earlier they were polished to a sheen in accordance with his drill sergeant's protocal. His goggles now were smeared with dirt and coagulated blood. He was all alone now, deep in hostile territory, with nothing but his gear and his blank mind. After verifying that all was clear he sat down. He thought about his girlfriend back home. He was only 7 months out of high school and already he was thrown in the midst of the ongoing conflict. He barely had enough time to experience the real world before he was shipped out. He spent his nights sleeping in tents, and his days marching patrols. As he was sucked off into his daydreams, mainly about what he would do to his girlfriend if she were here, the brick next to his head exploded. The bullet sent out shrapnel, cutting his ears and his right cheek. He immediately flund himself away from the bullet hole and grabbed his MP5. He saw a flash. It lasted a second, but he recognized it as a long range scope. Aiming down the barrel and through the sights of his MP5 he began to fire single shots. He realized his mistake even as the 7.62 NATO round pierced his flesh and began boring through his skull. His brains exploded through the back of his head spraying the ruins of the building behind him with pink-gray bits of brain and blood. The blood ran black in the darkness.
This fictional story demonstrates a very KEY concept in real life that also applies to the video game world of call of duty 4. You need "the right tool for the right job." This applies to most things in life. Call of Duty 4 is no exception. You need to know where to use certain perks, attachments, and even guns. You also need to know when to use them. In this guide I will show you how to use different guns to achieve their full potential!
Overview: This is a VERY standard M16 class and will make it VERY VERY simple to kill enemies. Using some tips from my tips and tricks, you should be able to be very effective with this class.
Overview: Use this class like a stealth class and you'll be racking up kills in no time! Use the smoke grenade to create a distraction and flank the enemy. Alternatively you can use it to get out of a tight spot!
Overview: This class works well because the 2 shots that the M16 needs to kill people come out very fast. This will kill with those two shots to most places in the body. With Stopping power you might need a second shot sometimes and this class eliminates the time required to take that shot. Steady Aim helps for close range and bandolier is needed cause the M16 will eat ammo!
Overview: Use extreme conditioning to get to good ambush spots and use the ACOG to kill at range! Bandolier will help you hold position without needing to move. Stopping power will make you much similiar to a sniper!
Overview: Use your M16 to kill quickly and efficiently at range, however, when things get up close and personal you'll find steady aim to be a great advantage to this class! Stun grenades allow you what could be a deciding few seconds between a kill and a death.

Good, but very limited. And double tap makes it so that you HAVE to use a second shot and most of the times who you will see people with double tap using 2 or 3 shots.
Also COD4 is very inaccurate with the weapon strengths. Such as the Barrett .50 Cal can actually pierce light armor and cut a man in half at up to 1500 meters. Also the model in the game should be using explosive bullets. ;(
Yeah, but it's a game. Therefore it's designed for gameplay not for realism. HardCore is the most real CoD can get (model ~ variable gun relationships gonna be hard to code)
This guide is still in the making... it's not all about the M16. The guide will be about every weapon in the game... for now though, I'm working on the M16 part. I don't have much time to work on it, but I work on it whenever I can.
Yeah, it's pretty cool story Cept the MP5 probably could hit, make it a shotgun xD
Extreme Conditioning is overrated, it encourages you to sprint more which means you're open to enemy fire more. Dead Silence and Steady Aim (and Iron Lungs if you're a sniper) are the only decent perks in that set.

In games like search and destroy and on some bigger maps, extreme conditioning lets you reach objectives and key choke points much faster. Although when used improperly you are right, it does encourage dying. But that's why I'm writing a guide, now isn't it?
