Cod 4 > MW 2.

-No halo 3 lunge at godlike speed
-Killstreaks don't play the game for you.
-Map design is vastly superior.
-Guns are significantly more balanced. Assault rifles have recoil and idle sway, and act as a jack of all trades type of gun that they are supposed to be. Good at everything, master at nothing type.
-No Free For All boosting.
-No hacked lobbies.
-No infinite noobtube / claymore spam (OMA + DANGER CLOSE LOL).
-Gaming style has much more variety because not all players are camping / defensive playing in order to build up for chopper gunners / ac 130 / nukes.

I don't think MW2 will lose popularity in the future, well not by a significant amount where the majority leave for COD4 like you think. Since launch I have noticed about 150,000 less players online on a regular basis now, but it is still going strong. I agree about the maps being better and the playing styles in COD4 have more of a variety. COD4 is still a great game, although I dodn't think I will go back to it full time. MW2 has more of a weapon variety that I really like. Some of the perks are better too. If MW2 had maps more like the layout that they did in COD4, I think the game would change significantly.

i really hope a lot of people will go back to COD4 but i don't expect that to happen.

MW2 > Cod 4 in everything But killstreaks I wish there were a way to play without Ks's like certain game modes. I'm talking all of them not just all except the basic Cod4 ones.

I like MW2 but I think matchmaking sucks (If I average 2 games a week now due to not being able to connect I can't give praise for that lol). And the killstreaks are a bit over the top rofl.

I have no complaints with the basic gameplay of cod4 so it would get my vote too

i like both cod4 is a great game but i really enjoy MW2 maybe because i'm new to both games.

I went back to play last night and I gotta say, it took some adjustment for me, especially on knifing, and the general movement being a little slower, but as far as the game itself, I am mixed- there are somethings about MW2 that are great (gamewise, not player derived) and there are other things in COD4 that are great, but with the perks, online gamestyles, hacks and boosts, it is really apples to oranges comparison now. People on the first round said the adjustment from COD4 to MW2 would take longer- what they didnt say is it would take a little while to adjust back!

I personally play COD4 95% of the time. I find the game strategy is better and you can actually snipe. When I start getting overly aggressive and die a lot ill throw in mw2. It puts me in check and forces me to slow down.
The different perks,two weapon attachments,graphics and finding a new host when one quits is good. Like most have said the bad outweigh the good.I still find myself going to the mw2 forum but that might be a result of this forum being slow.
I don't think it will lose popularity though. A couple of my friends are addicted and they suck big time. My buddies all have negative k/d and were positive in COD4. They can't stop playing but haven't adjusted to the game play. I refuse to camp so I limit my time playing mw2. If that means I suck so be it. Throw in COD4 and I will make you throw your controller.
