Pistol Guide

**This is a guide to the benefits, and setbacks of all the pistols in Call of Duty. Hopefully this guide can help you to make the right choice of pistol for your style of play.

**Pistol
+M9: The M9 is the standard semi-automatic pistol. It has a 15 shot clip, and sports a iron sight similar to the USP.45. The M9 is the weakest of all the pistols, but is incredibly dominant in the hardcore game types. This pistol can also increases the ammo stock of a few SMG's. This pistol can be silenced.

+USP.45: The USP.45 is a very effective pistol. The USP.45 has a medium capacity clip, and deals medium damage. The USP.45's iron scope is very similar in feel to the M16 and M4 Carbine iron sights, making it fairly easy to migrate to this pistol. The USP.45 is the most effective pistol for stealth as well. This pistol is also very effective in the hardcore game types, as you can take out an enemy with a single shot. This pistol can be silenced.

+M1911: The M1911 is a somewhat effective pistol. The M1911 has a decent iron sight, and medium damage. Adding a silencer to this pistol however, makes aiming with it difficult, as the tip of the silencer covers the iron sight, making it inferior to the USP.45. This pistol can be silenced.

+Desert Eagle: The Desert Eagle, or 'Deagle' is a very powerful pistol. The Desert Eagle has a decent iron sight, making it very effective when being used by an experienced player. This pistol is ideal for the last stand perk. The Desert Eagle however, can not sport a silencer, making it useless as a stealth weapon. This pistol has a very low capacity, and a very low backup ammo source.

I agree, I actually prefer the M9 over most of the pistols.

m9 should be better since it gives the uzi and the mp5 like 100 extra shots.

I agree that M9 should have rating improved, it is still a powerful weapon at close range.

I don't use any of the pistols, as soon as a match starts, I drop the pistol and pick up a dead soldiers weapon, the hand guns are underpowered. Since it takes 3 shots to kill - you might as well use the fastest firing pistol - the M9. The Desert eagle looks good, but fires too slow.

Not if you know how to do the rapid fire trick, i can fire a deagle faster than a USP or M9!

I've read about the USP .45 and M1911, and I found out that they are very similar/alike. The only difference is that the M1911 has a shorter clip than USP, but share the same aspects as USP. I will try and get proof of it if you wish.

the USP .45 is easily the best pistol, it has no recoil and great sights. the only time i use m9 is with mp5 or mini uzi for the extra ammo.
