I have been using stealth classes since i first played call of duty on Xbox Live.
I've tried most combinations, these two are the ones i find the best for overall stealth, and scouting.
*Description*: This class is the best PURE stealth class that you can use. This stealth class uses the MP5 as a main hand weapon. The MP5 is a very forgiving stealth weapon in regards to its damage, range, recoil, and its iron scope, while being surpressed. The MP5 (with the exception of the ak-74u) does the most damage of all the SMG's, along with its damage, the MP5 has the longest range, and least recoil of all the SMG's, this leads to the MP5 having even better range than any of the other SMG's, which means it has a better all around performance. The USP.45 is the ideal pistol for a stealth class, it has a large enough clip to finish off enemies without having to switch weapons. The USP.45 is a great pistol for stealthing in hardcores, in the hands of a good shooter, the USP can be used with almost equal effect as a rifle from long range. The smoke grenade benefits the class because it can provide cover for you, or smoke out an enemy base long enough to sneak in, get into prone, and do what a stealther does best. Bomb squad is another ideal perk for stealth classes, it can save your life in many situations, and the main reason for stealth is to kill without being seen, or HEARD. UAV jammer is another ideal perk, this perk really brings out the true effect of a stealth class, a stealther is most effective when a UAV is on, because that is when your enemies won't know you're coming. And Lastly there is Dead Silence, this perk is very helpful when trying to flank on a machine gunner, sniper, camper, or just all of your enemies in general. Putting all of these together give you a 100% undetectable stealth class, cant be seen, heard, or show up on radar. (Bandolier can be substituted for Bomb Squad if necessary.)
*Description*:This class is not quite as sneaky as the PURE stealth class, but still brings in a lot of stealth attributes to the class, while still giving it range, speed, and ammunition. This class uses the M4 Carbine. The M4 is a good scouting class, because it has virtually NO recoil, a good iron scope, and very good range. This class dominates the hardcore game modes. The elements that are the same in the Stealth class are used in the same way, the smoke, the USP.45, and the UAV Jammer, but the Blue and Green perks are helpfull for scouting. Bandolier is a great perk, because with the speed of extreme conditioning, and the stealth effects of the class, a player who can keep somewhat hidden, and flank out the enemy can survive for long kill streaks, and won't have to worry about ammo. Extreme Conditioning helps the player to outflank the enemy before anyone else can get to you, and it helps to run away from tight situations, and get back to going stealth.
*Note*: Both Classes dominate the hardcore game types, but after playing with them, and getting the elements of playing as stealth, a player will be able to crank out as much kills in a regular deathmatch or search and destroy, as he would be able to in a hardcore deathmatch or search and destroy.
** if you have any questions about stealth weapon combinations and perk combinations, please let me know, and i can give you my opinion, or write a forum on the pro's and con's of all weapons and perks for stealth and scout classes.

Very descriptive post, +1 rep from me to you! Well done! I love both the M4 Carbine and MP5, I think they are both very decent weapons. High damage, low recoil and nice accuracy both firing from the hip and when using the iron sights.
The only thing I would change about your setup is the perks, but perks are opinional I guess. Although I would use UAV Jammer, make sure no UAV can find me. I can crank out as many kills/XP in hardcore as I can in normal, I guess I have practiced so much.
I never used to use a silencer, becase I could never get kills at range, but after getting red tiger on both MP5 and M4, I must have gotten used to the weapons with silencers.
Again, well done on the lengthy, descriptive post, I will add you some reputation now.
Topic Stickied For Future Reference.

If your using a silenced weapon, I don't think you really need to use UAV jammer. I like using the silenced P90 or silenced AK47 - stopping power and Xtreme Condish with a smoke grenade.
UAV jammer is a really helpful perk though, it really does help stealth classes to dominate, because without it, a player will still be revealed on the UAV regardless of having your weapon surpressed. What makes the UAV jammer dominate, is that your enemies will trust their UAV's. and with UAV jammer, when your enemies have the UAV running, is when the enemy is most volnerable, and the stealther most effective.
yeah i always use bomb squad when playing SnD saved my life (and my team mates) loads. although if i do get a guy who thinks hes the best at everything i'll *forget* to mention the claymores ^-^
Both are good classes, if you want range with an assault rifle you might as well switch the m4 with the m16 since its a bit better.
A good scouting class would be the m21 uav jammer, claymores, and extreme conditioning.
claymores for when you find a nice cozy spot and you want some protection, uav jammer for obvious reasons, and extreme conditioning to get to vantage points quicker.
Get ya lighters, roll dat sticky, lets get high (lets get higher) Got that Blueberry Yum Yum And its dat fire (itz dey fire) Get ya lighters, roll dat sticky, lets get high (lets get higher)
Got that Blueberry Yum Yum And its dat fire (itz dey fire)
ya.... but the whole point of stealth is to move around... not to camp... so claymores are useless for that, unless you want to hide them to get some random kills...
