flame trower for noobs or not

It'll be easy to get kills when they're in range, but you'll also have to worry about not setting yourself on fire as you can set dead grass a flame. Also, the flamethrower tank will be destroyable allowing you to kill him and possibly his teammates. They're working hard to balance the new weapons. You have to take into account that there will be vehicles, but I don't see you calling them noob weapons/ vehicles for that matter.

As s1m1bean said, the game hasnt even came out, how can we know if a weapon is 'noob' or not without knowing the full details. Is the flamethrower going to be on mulitplayer for certain? or will it make a quick appearence in a single level in multiplayer?

It would be funny to put someone on fire when they are planting the bomb on S&D. It probably will be considered a noob weapon though...

I personally think it will suck to have the flame thrower..I mean at first setting things ablaze might be a little interesting...however getting killed by flame throwers left and right would get old very quickly!
