Just wondering if anyone can help me this this problem, I've been trying to fix this for hours. What happens is when I start playing in a server, the game almost always crash in the first 3 minutes and then displays a iw3mp.exe has stopped working error message, and it seems to happen nearly ALL the time with servers with Punkbuster enabled.

I've tried putting jacks in the mic jack, enabling the Stereo Mix driver, disabling the front jack detection and changing the mssmp3.asi file to mssmp3.bak....and with no success.

I'm running out of ideas and patience.

Can anyone give me some advice? (BTW, I'm only 14, so I'm not that good with computers.)

Yeah, done most of that already...but i'll try uninstalling the game altogether. If it helps, this problem always happens on PunkBuster servers.

....and re-installing does not work.

I tried turning off avast anti-virus and the crashing seems to have stopped. Not certain, but I think avast was conflicting with PunkBuster or something.
