So I have a different problem with the "Downloading Game Settings" screen than any that I've found solutions for online... Not only does it give me the DGS screen, but after 3 or 4 minutes it disconnects me from PSN and I get a DNS Error message-- sometimes it even goes so far as to knock out my internet to the point where I have to get on the router Config on my PC to turn it back on. I'm running a Westell 6100 modem/router, and as of now I just switch the LAN cable from the PC to the PS3. This just happened all of a sudden, I'd been playing the game perfectly fine for weeks.

I've tried rebooting the router, tried to forward my ports, and messed around with the UPNP settings (which though they are enabled from my router Config they still show up as Not Available on the PS3's Test Connection). Warhawk and Motorstorm still work fine online, so I have no clue...

Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated!

so if your internet connection test is fine, and online works for other games, get a new COD4 disk, or call IW or Sony support
