How to set up a non-dedicated server
Right. First of all, this is the first time I've seen this webpage so please excuse me if this is in the wrong end of the forum.
Basically, I've got a couple of old PCs that are capable of running CoD4. I can set up a non-dedicated server so they, and my current machine (all on wired LAN) can see each other and play. The problem comes when someone else outside the LAN (a friend) tries to join. He can't locate my network. Would inputting the first bit of the IP be enough? IE: would just entering 204.98.126.15 be enough to locate me or would he need th [ :xxxxx ] bit? If so, how do I find out what the [ :xxxxxx] bit is?
