"Waiting for response from master server"

Hi.

When I attempted to refresh my server list, every server available simply disappeared. And in the upper left corner is a message saying "Waiting for response from master server".

Any ideas of how I can fix this? Help would be much appreciated.

I lurked around a bit, and it appears as if other people are having this problem as well. Server maintenance perhaps?

Hi Rickroll, I am getting the same problem. Not sure why. At first I couldnt connect, now all servers are gone. It goes from "waiting response..." to the time and date etc.

Looking sround for answers ATM. Cheers

Hey RickRoll its THEMACHINE here i have the same problem must be the server down, anyone know how long it usually takes?

Ive heard there putting a statue of Barry Manilow on crash instead of the helicopter but i could be wrong.

Hi guys, just joined to see if i could get an answer to the same problem . It seems the same problem has hit a lot of people on other forums . My original call of duty also shows the same symptoms with the exact same master server message. Looks like the server may be FUBAR. Also tried my old lap top exactley the same.

Is there any official word from the CoD4 guys on this or what? Probably not because its the weekend right?

I don't know what else I can do on Sunday... Hopefully they will fix it tomorrow even though it's labor day.

This is so lousy

I just got the game yesterday and after barely a day of gamin this happens... Its seeming more and more like a glitchy game to me; previously I had to set the video card options from 'No' in dual graphic cards to 'Yes' although I didnt have dual graphic cards. This was done to stop a random lag problem.

ARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH RAGEEEE

hey everyone, i just joined today as well because the server must be down, i have uninstalled the game and have been going nuts. does anyone know if this happens often? this must happen when they update the game.
