When I try to connect to a server on PC, it never works. Sometimes the screen will just freeze, and only way to exit is to restart. And also sometimes, while connecting, my monitor turns black, and it says "no signal". Than it just stays off. I have to restart. I don't know why it does this. It started today, and before it worked fine. I restarted multiple times. I don't want to uninstall because my CD has minor scratches and im afraid the reinstall will fail and also, im in no mood in downloading another 7 patches again. It will take forever. Is there a patch I can download at one time that will bring me to 1.7?

It started after my norton internet security 2006 subscription went back on.
I don't know how it did that. My norton expired a long time ago, and it always bring up these messages to update and stuff like that, but now its back to normal. Strange... But I think norton is causing this. I don't know how to disable it. When I right click on it, there is no option to disable it. I've stopped the auto-protect and still, same problem.
My questions are: How do I fix this problem, and speaking of that, how do I disable my Norton Internet Security 2006.
