After I finally got nline to work, now splitscreen multiplayer freezes everytime I try to load any map, on any game type. This is for PS3. I havent doen anything new and I've played a number of times on multiplayer alread, what's wrong?

Only for multiplayer... I know its nothing with the disc or the sysem because every other game works fine, and the disc has no scrathes at all, I even ran it through a cleaner. Only when I try to load any map, or any game type, or any game settings, the loading bar freezes about 1/4 of the way to its fullness, everytime at the same spot. The system freezes too, I cant hit the PS button and return to the Home menu. I have reset mys ps3 twice now, and I cant figure i out.

I'm not familiar with the ps3 version, but is there any way to "uninstall" all of the cod4 files on it (updates, etc)? If you can, you should try that then redownload any updates, etc

I am having this same issue. I've gotten it to work for a few months after it, but it's happening again. And I ignored it and just didn't play the game the first time it happened. and a week later it started working again.
