Yea also the new patch is supposed to take care of this for good... for any of those still having this problem

AHHHHHHHHHH

Haven't been able to play for 2 days now because of this problem. Tried all the posted tricks already (sign in separately, wait 30 seconds before clicking on Play Online).

It is NOT WORKING AT ALL!!!!

I had the problem a couple weeks ago, then it went away and now it's back with a VENGANCE! HELP!

Icon9 freezing at downloading game options
My game is frozen on "downloading game options" as i am writing, i waited the 30 seconds and eerything. how can i get and download the patches for the game on PS3????

I don't know a fix but i might know a cause. When ever i have a moderate NAT on MW2 i cannot get onto MW. But when i have Open NAT it can. If someone can find any help on getting open NAT all the time i would be interested to know. Hope this helps or gives you more of an idea of what is going on. PS all of my friends can get on MW so this could just be me.

This may provide some insight for some.

I selected this on my router under NAT/NAPT WAN Interface

NAT Only Enabled
Private (LAN)
IP Address

So I would have NAT type 2 to connect to more friends on MW2. Took me a long time to figure that out. Now I'm going back to CoD4 because MW2 sucks ball sacs and couldnt play for nothing. After clicking Play Online it would freeze for a few seconds in the main lobby. Then when I click find game it was endless Downloading Game Settings...

Also if I clicked on Private Match, oh hell I was screwed then. It would freeze as soon as I entered the private match lobby and the only way to get out was the switch on the back of the console. Talk about some BS. I tried all the tricks. Unplug router or turn off router blah blah blah...nothing worked.

Changed my settings back to NAPT Only Enabled. Rebooted the console and I got right in. Playin some on WHAT-UP-NEEGRO
