used to happen to me but now it doesn't

my brother says the same thing, he and I were unable to connect, he said he'll fix his router tomorrow so I'll be sure to let you know if it works

When it would happen to me on Halo 3, it would tell me I have an open nat :/

My PS3 is on a DMZ so the issueisn't with me, it's the servers. I don't have these issues on any other game. I didn't have these problems before xmass or the patch.

I appreciate your trying to be helpful but IW knows perfectly well where the problems are, they just need to invest the time effort and hardware to support their game. Lack of such support will make me think trice about my next purchase.

Hey guys, I was having this EXACT same problem. My cousin & I used to play together with no problems, then all of a sudden after the last update all hell broke loose. Both of us experienced total game freezes, and ever since we couldn't enter a party together. I (& my cousin) tried EVERYTHING, including checking the NAT settings. Then I stumbled across a website which shows you how to clear the Xbox 360 cache.

Go to system menu > memory > once you see your hard drive, press Y for "device options". Once you see the options to rename/format, press X, X, LB, RB, X, X quickly, then say YES. My cousin & I both did this & now we are able to play together again! You will have to re-download the latest CoD4 update, as it is deleted once you clean the cache.

Can't guarantee results, but like I said it worked for us. Something must have really been F*ed up in that last update or something.....

Hi i just joined to give you this message i have been having problems to... but if you put in your ip adress or defualt router onto the internet searcher and it should go on your routers homepage check the Virtual servers and have 2 setup i found this worked but it sadly went back off again few days later im sick of cod4 i can't even play with my cousion and my mates ...... hope you guy's find something best of luck guys.

Yea it happens to me, I can't connect with one of my mates in a party, but if another mate of mine in that same party invites me and I accept, it works!
