PB INIT Failure

Help!I can't play a full game without Punkbuster kicking me outta the game.It just says,Punkbuster has kickde you out because of PB INIT Failure,or PB client is not responding.I've reinstalled CoD4 but im still having problems!

sounds like PB isn't installed right, or at all

updated PB. I reinstalled it. I check for punkbuster A and B services to see if they're working. Then i ended them and started the game again. I think I did about everything and I'm still getting kicked for a PB INT failure.

Im almost done with this game, And thier choice for a 2nd rate anti cheat system like Punkbusters

There are countless cases of this happening and I have yet to find a solution, I am also having this pb init failure. it is making me sad :cry:

I get this error too. I dont think its something to do with updates with punkbuster because my battlefield 2 game works perfectly.

PB is soooo fookin ghey!!!! I hate PB with a passion. Yesterday I had a different error with PB.....now today I have a new one. I JUST WANT TO PLAY AND HAVE THE GAME WORK. I'm having the same error as you guys. I cant play for more than 30 seconds!!! This software is completely useless and it only takes up more system resources. I don't use it on BF2 (which has MORE than its fair share of problems, I know, but it works)....I dont cheat, I dont mod, I dont like cheaters, and I dont like people who use mods in regular servers.....but I STILL DONT LIKE PB as "protection" from cheaters....its useless. One more indicator that everything should just be run through VAC (valve anti cheat...part of steam) and not retarded PB. I also like steam because if my stupid arse "play" CD gets scratched I dont need it....honestly, what is the purpose of having to use a CD to play anymore??????? exactly, none....its a pain in the butttt. sorry for the rant...my .02$ NO MORE PB!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't people just release a solid multi player game (besides valve) that isnt PLAGUED by ridiculous problems?

Back to BF2 and the superior fun of squads and vehicles in the mean time I say!!! This game reminds me TOO much of Counter Strike and not enough of BF2. Its too chaotic and disorganized for my taste. I still prefer the pace and structure of BF2 over this game. Guess I'll have to continue waiting for the "perfect" combat game which I hope will be BF3 now.

make sure your firewall isn't blocking pnkbster a & b. Go to evenbalance.com, they fixed my pb issues
