So bear with me here...This may be hard to understand. So I had Call of Duty 4 installed on my PC, and I decided I wanted to update from 1.6 to 1.7. After updating I could not play the game becuase it would crash before it would let me Join a game. I read around and found that uninstalling the game was my best bet. So I uninstalled COD4 but my patches were still there. Upon trying to uninstall the patches it said something like "Error initializing setup" or whatever. So now I have 1.2-1.7 some where on my computer but I cannot get rid of these updates now becuase I cannot find them, and when I do know where they are I get an error. They no long pop up under my updates on my Add/Remove program. I'm stuck right now, and I have limited knowledge about my predicament (spelling?). If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will try and explain my problem more thoroughly. Thank you for listening.

Just thought about this...Also, when I tried to reinstall the updates it tells me I have to uninstall the update before I can install. However, when I do this and move on to the next patch it says "You must have Patch 1.4 installed (for example) before you can install this patch. But I cannot install 1.4 becuase of my crazy predicament...Thanks again.

So its not letting you uninstall Cod4? And it says you mush have Patch 1.4 installed. Did you ever install 1.4 or did u go from like 1.2 or w/e to 1.6 to 1.7?
