For some reason, my Xbox doesn't load Countdown as fast as I would like, causing me to spawn in the game a little late. The meter stops about a fourth of the way there, and pauses for 5-10 seconds, before continuing.

Is there nothing to be done about this?

it happened with me for bloc and showdown. but a lot worse.it would get about 2/3 there then stop and go off and back into the lobby then disconnect me.
Have you checked your disc? My disc had a big circular scratch which i somehow didnt see and when i got it resurfaced it was fine. To be fair countdown isnt a great map anyway but it would be a kick in the teeth when it does come up
