Everytime I accept an invitation to join a game I get an unable to connect message, does anyone know why this happens.

i don't know but it happens to me as well

i think what happens is that between your friends request and you accepting, someone else joins the room and all the places fill up. Try getting your friend to party invite you or you them, then choose the type of game to play. that way you both join the same game. the party invite option is in the same menu screen as the find match one. Hope this helps

correct me if im wrong but i think its when u game has closed or the party is no longer active and if it says serve is full it means the games lobby is full

Best idea for you is what ironmanbaker says. Just invite your friend to join your party . once they are in your party just play either team death match, domination, ground war etc and your friend will be in your team always.

I am not quite sure with the PS3 but with the 360 this is casued by someone not having and "open" nat. Test your connection and see what it says.
