Downloading Game Settings- PS3

Ever since I've downloaded the 2.4 system update I have been getting the dreaded downloading game settings box after I click find game (multiplayer online). When I click LAN party the game simply tells me that I don't have a connection. Split screen stops loading at 25% and so forth. Rock Band and playstation store (online) both work fine.

I was hoping someone knows of a permanent fix for this rather than unplugging my router for 10 seconds. Please respond in this thread or message me PSN: RockHail

Unfortunately there isn't a definite fix. Getting better signal would obviously help but other than that it's down to patience.

I've been having the same problems as you are but my wifi signal is at 95% what the hell can this be. its just stuck there at the downloading game settings i need help also.

alleveiga, the only fix I know of DMZ (opening all the ports), which isn't really an option for me, but the "fix" I've been having is just leaving the Downloading Game Settings... box open for about an hour while I do something else, it works fine from there, but it's still very annoying. So, hopefully, if you have the patience, you can play COD4 soon.
