As far as I'm concerned you cannot do so without anything out of the ordinary. I may be wrong though, so just wait on someone to verify.

If you want good quality I would suggest getting a capture card. You hook this up to your computer; I have never used one so I couldn't tell you exactly how it works. If you don't need the best quality you can always just use a camera or camcorder and just record your tv screen.

I record off my PS3 using a dazzle video capture card, just search it on play.com as they have the best prices. It basically links from your tv into your computer and the software that comes with it allows you to record and edit it. Before you buy it though I would suggest you search how to set it up on youtube as the type of tv you use greatly changes how you have to set it up.

If your not planning to do any spectacular editing with it get the dazzle video creator as its basic and cheap but doesn't have a lot of features like slowmo for example. If you do want to do some flashier stuff with it get the dazzle platinum more expensive but the software is better.

P.s the software is a nightmare to get working on vista but it can be done.

The most simple rig is a DVD Recorder with Composite or HD in, plug the composite (Red, White, Yellow) into the recorder and record from that as a source, that will go to DVD, then bang it in a PC and edit using program of choice.
