Listen. The modem is the culprit. Instead of listening to everyone else's fix though, listen to mine and follow mine. You must turn off the system in its entirety. Next unplug your modem and leave it unplugged for over a minute at least. Plug it back in and wait 30 seconds and then cut back on the system. It should work. If it does not then your internet company is the problem. My brother in law has the 80g and he has trouble getting and then staying on the network. The reason is that he's with Windstream which is a really crappy company for the internet. Purchase a phone line from them but not the internet. I am with Comcast, which offers a T3 connection on a fiber optic line. I never get disconnected. If it is not your modem, then its your internet company or your router. If you are using wireless, unplug the ethernet cable from the router and the power to the modem and wait a minute and then use the ethernet cable and plug it straight into the PS3. Do not use wireless. That is what will work. If nothing does work it is your company's fault and you should get a better one.
Sign in or register and watch the South Park video called Over Logging in season 12. At the end, either Stan or Kyle shows you how to fix the problem. Have fun.
