Hey. I just downloaded some maps and I am trying to run them on a LAN server. I got the map(s) and I placed them in their own folder under: Program Files/Activision/Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare/usermaps/ (name of map folder).
each folder has 2 .ff files and an .iwd file. None of the new maps I placed show up once in COD4, why? Am I missing something?

If you mean that when you create a listen server they dont show up in the list - they never will - they are custom maps, thats why they go into the "usermaps" folder.

Only way to load them is to run it in Modern Warfare Mode, then fire up your listen server load any map, then bring down your console & type - /map mp_map_name

yeah thanks but that did not work
I even tried using rcon and couldn't figure it out, it kept saying i needed a password for clients.
