You can use Capture and Hold on custom maps. Just make sure you set the spawn array for the spawn points supported by that particular map.
This is a “free-for-all” version of Hold the Flag.
==================
Ok, now that is clear, lets move on to the new features, or existing features which have been enhanced.
# Anti Camper:
now you can handle those annoying campers with this code from AWE3 COD2.
# New End of Map Voting:
now has 7 random selections, with a bigger and clearer voting box.
# Sabotage:
got rid of the “kill” headicon. Just set this dvar:
set scr_sab_show_killtarget 0
# CTF and CTB:
There are a whole load of new dvars for CTF and CTFB. Please see the relevant config files for details. Also, you will see that CTF and CTFB have new voiceovers and spinning base FX for the flags.
# Enhanced Auto Assign:
Now, when set, awe force auto assign only gives players the “autoassign” button. The teams’ (allies/axis) buttons doesn’t even appear anymore.
# Force Weapons:
now you can also force 3 perks on a player. Please consult the separate forceweapons.cfg file for dvars.
# Server Info Menus:
These can be set to show a connecting player not only a Moto-of-the-Day (motd) but also up to 5 server rules.
The MOTD dvar is the standard COD dvar:
set scr_motd “”
The 5 rules are defaulted to these:
set scr_server_rule_1 “Rule 1. Dont Cheat!”
set scr_server_rule_2 “Rule 2. Dont Abuse the server”
set scr_server_rule_3 “Rule 3. Dont Chat Spam”
set scr_server_rule_4 “Rule 4. Test 1”
set scr_server_rule_5 “Rule 5. Test 2”
You don’t have to use these. Just leave them blank.
# Map Turret Guns:
there is now a dvar to deactivate these if you don’t like them. Please consult the awe.cfg file for the dvar.
ok downloaded awe4 1.3 and installed it on our server. However it kept coming up on SD. Could not get it to switch to CTF. I set the gametype to start on CTF but that did not seem to make a difference.
