ok i was playing normal TDM the other day ( which im not a great fan of ) and i was getting my ass kicked by this guy with M16 red dot and what i think had to be bando , stopping power and deep impact. I killed him picked up his gun and managed to kill quite a few of the enemy, which got me thinking did i possibly have 7 perks on the go?
ok so bare with me
1st i had my set up G36cC with red dot
perk 1 clays
perk 2 uav
perk 3 deep impact
when i re spawned i shot this guy dropped my pistol and picked up his M16
does this count as OVERKILL as i now have 2 main weapons i think it does
2nd the perks this guy had were still active with this gun i think they were something like this
with red dot still attached
perk 1 bando
perk 2 stopping power
perk 3 deep impact
so im running around with these guns blasting away and the ememy UAV went up so i immediately put my G36C knowing ive got a UAV blocker on this set up making me invisible to radar switching back to the M16 when the recon expired .
So my point is and these set ups im going to mention are just examples.I start a game with lets say MP5 red dot perk 1 bando perk 2 stopping power perk 3 deep impact ok get killed . Respawn with my second set up which is a sniper with perk 1 clays perk 2 UAV perk 3 iron lungs with a lot of luck run over to where i died drop my pistol and pick up the MP5. I belive now im running around with 7 perks which are............................
1- OVERKILL sniper and mp5
2/3/4 -- clays / uav and iron lungs
5/6 and 7 my 1st set up of bando / stopping power and deep impact

this is a deep subject if im right . But i strongly believe the 1st set up, all perks must relate to the actual GUN and NOT the soldier so when you pick that gun up it still holds its perks
Id be interested to know what views , thoughts and ideas different people have on this subject and what set ups you would run with?

That's interesting. I never thought about it this way. Do perks really apply to the WEAPON, not the SOLDIER?
I thought it was the other way around. I thought that if I have a UAV jammer it would apply to any weapon I pick up. That would make sense. If I have stopping power, and the guy I kill doesn't have it, and I pick up his weapon, would the stopping power not apply to it?

I've brough this up in a similiar thread not to long ago, something about having 5 perks. I had the same theroy but someone said that it wasn't true. IDK, I thnk I'm going to have to test it out now. We might be on to something here...

its not true. Example: If you have slight of Hand on a G36C, then pick up an m16 you have slight of hand. Another example: I had juggernaut on on my p90, picked up a M40a3 sniper shot a guy in the upper chest area, and it did not kill him.

As far as I'm aware, none of the perks transfer over; you're literally just picking up the gun, with whatever attachment it has on it and however many rounds are in the mag.

Some of the perks improve or affect the performance of certain weapons, but all perks are specific to the player who chose them and can't be picked up by anyone else.

well you do heave deep impact twice...

I just tested this theory and it does not matter what weapon you pick up you will not gain any of the perks it's carrier had. You only have the perks that you had on your soldier and I guess you could say overkill but not really.

The easiest way to find out is to have a setup with claymores then do your whole die nd pick up the gun again thing then see if you have claymores

No i think if you have 3 perks those are the 3 perks you have. When i have UAV jammer on my MP5 and i pick up an M16, which i kno the person prolly had SP on b/c most people do, i have to hit 3 shots instead of 2.
