Its a fully automatic gun from the world war and cannot have any attachments. with regards to perks, its upto you I guess. Its really just there as a way of saying thank you to the people who have stuck with the series from cod 1.
ya unfortunately no attachments for the mp44, but its hip fire is very good, and with steady aim and stopping power, youll breeze through the headshots, but, I wouldnt reccomend it unless you are going for the golden ak47

Alot of people use the stopping power/steady aim combo but I prefer to treat the 44 like a smg with tons of balls. I use it short/medium range and *gasp* use double tap instead of stopping power. I always use steady aim as its my favorite perk in the game, and this setup owns on small maps and clearing houses.
Mp44
1911
flash
double tap
steady aim.
its also fun to make a WWII class using overkill, the m14, frag x3, and the 1911.
Use the MP44 in the Call of Duty one, then use the M4 in Call of Duty 4, you'll see that in 1944 (the year the MP44 was made, also the first assualt rifle ever) it has beastly accuracy.

You're best bet on the MP44 is stopping power and steady aim. It's an extremely effective gun once you get used to it. However, don't use it one time, do bad, and not use it again. That is the worst thing you could do. Play about 10 games with it, try and get comfortable using it and if you're not adjusted by then, it just isn't the gun for you.
I found I couldn't do well with it until I played with it every game, as Ikon says don't just try it once and discard it as you would a cheap whore, treat it well and be rewarded (possibly)
