Ummmm, I really hate to be the one to point this out, but...

If you choose any video game regardless of how good it is over time with a female, there's either something REALLY wrong with her - so why are you with her? - or very wrong with you. (or any significant other if you're inclined in a different direction)

There's a time for everything. I've been married 16 years. I'd never play the game when she wanted attention. Fortunately, she doesn't mind if I play most of the time. But I rarely play when she's home and awake. Seems disrepectful.

Put it another way: How would you like it if whenever you wanted to <ahem> spend some time with her, she'd rather yak on the phone with her friends for hours non-stop, completely ignoring you? (that sounds so stereotypical. But it's the only analogy I could come up with off the top of my head. Insert any hobby you like in that scenario)

Ryan you animal +10hrs a day? I'm lucky if I can play 2-3 between me studies.. :/

Also, quite a significant topic for me: I just moved in with my girlfriend today And I'd say she's too damn tempting to be sorted below any game. Also, everytime she caught me play a game she'd start complaining and touch my willy.. -.-'

I respect that youve been married 16 years, and from one who has been married I know that requires alot of ass kissing, nothing wrong with it, just the nature of the beast... But again if you married her than hopefully she was the one... I would disagree though, Ive been in relationships where all I wanted was to be around that girl and then there are those relationships where your like, ****, I need a break... So in disagreeing I would say there is nothing wrong with chosing being on a game over spending time with a female... To each his own... Sometimes you just need a effing break... <br>

I believe that the keyword in these kind of situations are balance. Balance on all levels. If you balance attention to your games and other leisures with attention to your wife/girlfriend, your overall happiness stats would go up steadily with 0.03-4 a week, and if you're in a healthy, balanced relationship, your partner is also more likely to accept if you'd take a night playing games with your mates instead of helping her do the kitchen or laundry or whatever.

Works for me.

It sounds like you're playing SIMs or something. But I do agree with you, balnce is important. I give up some import things to give me more time to play COD (like sleep). I usually go to be around 1 or 2 in the morning, when I used to go to bed about 10 or 11 at night. That's probably not healthy, but it does make me happy
