Alright, so I was inspired to do this because of my match with Rerun17. I seen how much fun and exciting 1v1's can be. I'm going to organize and set the rules for this tournament. It is going to be single elimination and there will be a prize (more if some more people want to contribute). Any one that is a member of these COD4 boards can participate.

It is going to be best of 3. The first host will be chosen at random (with opposing player picking map) and whoever gets more kills on the other persons host will host the final map. The maps are going to be Vacant, Bog, and Shipment. In the result of a tie, the map will be replayed until there is a winner. Your opponent will be chosen randomly.

The prize for now, is going to be a one month free trial to Xbox Live. If you want to contribute and make this prize even more, PM me with the details.

Those are going to be the rules. They are not up for debate as I feel those are the best settings to determine the better player. This is going to be on a first-come first-serve basis. I'm going to be aiming for a 16 man tournament. If there is less, I will accommodate. You will have up to 2 days to try and schedule your match with your opponent. Be sure to write all scores down as I will be expecting them from both people that participated in the match. I would like to attend every one of the matches, but I know that may not be possible. I will keep this thread updated with the details.

I'm going to assume that this is a Private Match and not a Cage Match (thank god).

I might join, and that's a pretty big might, depending on who else and other specifics. Is there a date where you need a reply? And when/how long should this tournament last (I'm due for a vacation mid-July)?

It shouldn't take long at all. I'm giving people 2 days to set up their matches (it should be quicker than that). If your opponent doesn't respond in 2 days, they'll forfeit and you will win.

How long this entire tournament was going to take? Basically, how many people are involved (which would then lead how many rounds). And are you going to do anything about "cheapness" - (for example, I can just use and M16+stopping power for the entire tournament and come out as a winner)?
