I am currently working on all my unfinished challenges with my assault rifles. I am working on the G3. Head shots are HARD for this. What tips do you all have? What game modes do you recommend?
I am playing Hard Core Team Death Match. I am set up as follows:
(Depending on the map, like strike, crash, back lot, I use the G3 with ACOG or RDS, 3x frag, stopping power, deep impact. Other "stealthy maps" like over grown I go with the above set up)
Since I am currently working on the G3 - I’d like to stick with that as my main weapon until all challenges are complete. So if you have tips on this gun and a particular setup - please share the knowledge. This seems to be taking me a long time to get.

You should set up a flanking glass with the g3, something like
G3 Silecned
Pistol Silecned
C4 or FragX3(so you can throw one in the window if there is a claymore) or bomb squad
The reason I use c4 of extra frags is because if I blow up the claymore, there is a 90% chance he will turn around, thus sacrificing the headshot, usually, I like to flush him out with an explosive, then go hide in there again and wait until he comes back.
UAV Jammer
Extreme Conditioning or Dead Silence
This is great on maps like bloc, overgrown, and crossfire, since a lot of people snipe and will be motionless waiting to get headshotted.
Best to do it on regular team deathmatch as a ground war usually has too many people thus you getting flanked yourself from so many people spawning behind you.
I have achieved red tiger on the skorpion, mp5, g36c, and pump shotgun doing this. The pump was harder as as soon as i shot, everyone knew where I was :S

RDS is the easiest attachment to aid getting hshots. Play HQ or Domination where you know the objective and camp where you can see enemies running by, this way you get more potential targets to hit.

i have red tiger for my G3. what i did was you keep on hardcore tdm, but use a red dot and camp.......ALOT its useful for headshots but dont EVER just run out and start shooting YOU WILL GET YOUR ASS KICKED
Using RDS actually reduces accuracy on some guns - like the AK47, not sure about the G3. Play TDM, HQ and maybe Domination. You might want to set up two G3 classes - one silenced - the other with either grip or RDS, whatever you prefer and go for your headshots that way.
