How do you tell if you're host!?

Everyone seems to be able to know, in a game, whether they're host or not but I dont see any telltale signs. Is it because they just have the best Ping? Is that the only way to tell?

Sometimes at the very beginning of games, 1 person will have 4 green bars while everyone else has 1 red one. Usually the person with 4 green bars is the host, at least in my experience.

if you are the only person in a lobby, you are the host. when the game starts, usually one or two people will have a 4 bar connection while everyone else has 1 or 2 bars. if you and another guy have a 4 bar connection, and there were 10 people already in the lobby when you entered, the other guy is the host.

You would because if you are the host and you end the game you dont just leave straight away. You go through the whole "host ended game" thing.

An easy way to tell if you are host is if you dont get the "waiting for players" screen when the round is loading and instead you just go straight into the game.

If you are first into the lobby it does not mean you are going to be host. On the 360 when the lobby is ful it finds the player with the best suited connection and that player becomes the host of the round. Hosts can change every round ifnew people join with a better connection than the prior host

someone said that if "LEAVE GAME" is replaced by "END GAME" when youre host in the START menu.

is that true? ive never seen it.
